Aloha! My name is Kimi Vaka'uta. I am a photographer for Ahonui Productions. I was born and raised in North Kohala and graduated from Kohala High School. As a Native Hawaiian, I enjoy photographing Hawaii's vast and beautiful landscapes. My passion for photography grows as I strive to capture special moments that can be relieved through photography. Our Kuleana

Kuleana is known to be a Hawaiian term for “responsibility.” It is a meaning that holds a significant value between us, Native Hawaiians, and the things we are responsible for. Many Hawaiians would say that their kuleana is to care for the land. While that is part of our responsibility, Ahonui Productions’ is committed to telling stories through videography and photography. Whether it may be telling stories about the relationship between the land and our ancestors or the marriage between two people, it is our kuleana to document timeless stories so that the next generation can understand our passions and past actions.

“Taking pictures is savoring life intensely, every hundredth of a second.”

“Our family could not have loved our session with Kori more. She was so responsive and made amazing suggestions for shoot locations.

We had a small baby and she was so accommodating and patient with our disorganized bunch.

The photos are truly stunning and we could not love them more. We would recommend Kori to anyone! She is amazing!”
